Welcome to My West - Art by Traci Goebel.

Cowgirls, Horses, Barns , Stage Coaches and anything Old West.

Women of the west played a big part in the history of it, and how it was perceived by the world.

I have painted for approximately 35 years, consistently for about 10 years. I have had a love for art since the 2nd grade and a love of horses all of my life.
I began taking classes in oils for about a year with a local Indy artist. Since then I have taught myself to use other mediums such as watercolor, pastels and acrylics.
When my granddaughters came along, I expanded my western theme to include portraits of cowgirls. They have been models for my art and my first attempt at doing portraits {keeping with the western theme}. I paint anything pertaining to the old west. But of coarse being from Indy, I also love auto racing, which I have dabbled in slightly, but have intentions to do more.
My sweet Grandmother started painting when she was probably in her 60's, so being very inspired by her, I decided to try my hand at it. My Grandmother {G.G.} is still going strong at the young age of 97, although she looks and acts like she is only 70. She is and will always be my Greatest Inspiration. Love Her Dearly!
